Happy New Year 2017

Happy New Years.  Made it back safe from Canada.   Steve and I had dinner with Terry and John from the marina at a great place called Hullabaloo in City Place.

Great art work

Lots of action going on in City Place.  They even had a Xmas tree made out of sand all lit up.

We then went to their boat and John serenaded us with my guitar.  What a lovely way to end 2016.

At the strike of midnight, boats were blowing their horns.  Steve took advantage of blowing his air horn.

10:30am- Nicky, Brent and the grandchildren picked us up to go out for breakfast.
We took our last picture together.

They then brought us to their house to do our laundry.  We watched the kids while they went out to work out at the gym.
4:00pm- we said our goodbyes and Nicky dropped us off at the boat.  On one hand it is sad we are leaving but on the other hand exciting that we are continuing our adventure to the Bahamas.

Now, we need to start planning part 2 of our journey.
We filled the tank up with water, put away our hose and have all a our provisions needed on board.
The plan is to leave the marina tomorrow morning with John and Terry around 10:00, fuel up and anchor by the inlet.  The following day, if weather permits, we will leave around 5am to sail to the Bahamas.  They have been to the Bahamas 4 times now so they are very experienced.
