Today is the day! Steve installed the membranes in the water maker.
Now we put our water maker to test. After about an hour to get it put together and ready, we made water. We actually can convert salty water to good drinking water. Of course, we kept testing it with a tester and it passed flying colors. 11:30pm- While the water was being made, Steve decided to run in town to get fuses for the fridge while I did some cleaning up on the boat and keeping an eye on the water maker.
As Steve was approaching coming back on the dinghy, I noticed he had a smile on his face and he was soaked wet. He apparently fell in the water while trying to get on the dock. He lost his footing.
As if that wasn't bad enough, he had my phone and didn't have the life jacket on. He recovered the phone quickly but for some reason water got in since it does not work. Good news is the Bahamian SIM card worked in my new phone. I used my old phone but now on to my new one.

6:00pm- The sun is starting to set. We decided to go out for dinner with John and Terry. Just as they were picking us up in the dinghy, it started to pour. It didn't last too long. We had a wonderful meal at LYC and then we went to Pineapple Pub for a couple of drinks. They had a band playing outside and we sat around the bomb fire. It turned out to be a gorgeous night.

Love reading your blog - it brings back so many memories! Have you seen any Abaco Parrots? Watch for them in the trees along the channel in to White Sound, they are bright green with some red. Have a great winter! Lynne and Ron, Northern Spirit

ReplyDeleteI'm bit late to read your blog though I enjoyed reading it and water making process is really interesting. I mean 5 gallon in 10 minutes is a great work.
