January 8, 2017 - Green Turtle Cay

January 8, 2017

7:00am-  After doing my exercise, I surprised Steve with French toast for breakfast.  It was sure windy during the night and it has gone cooler.  The sun is trying to come out from the cloud.  

9;30am- We decided to go to the beach to see how high the waves were since it has been so windy.  While putting down our dinghy, we noticed this bird wanted to take advantage of our mooring rather than go in the water.

 What a gorgeous view however we were getting sandblasted while sitting on a bench which was on the beach.

 We decided to explore other beaches in the area and figured we needed the exercise anyways.

 There was some kind of memorial right on one of the beaches

 I love the fact that some of the vegetation grew on the beach

 We sure ended up getting exercise.  We started getting hungry and Steve said there should be a restaurant nearby and we should continue walking further.  We ended up walking one hour there and one hour back since there were no taxi or ferry available from this area.  We enjoyed the drink and meal when we got there and I still had a sense of humor

3:00pm- After we came back, Terry and John asked us over to their boat.  We stayed a couple of hours.

Had dinner and I painted while we watched "Calendar Girls" which Terry lent me. 

Another great day in the Bahamas.
