Happy Halloween everyone. Steve and I thought we would dress up before we began our day!
7:15am- Left South Harbor Village Marina at mile 311.4. Because they ran out of diesel, we need to stop at the next marina to fuel up. What another gorgeous sunrise
8:00am-stopped at St James Marina. This is where we should of stayed last night. It is right off the ICW however very protected. This reminds me of when you go from point A to point B. If you drive a car, you really don't see anything but if you are walking or riding a bicycle, you sure see a lot more. What a great way to slow down and observe its beauty.
Unfortunately, someone lost their livelyhood.
9:30am-
10:10am- Dolphin came right beside our boat
10:30am- Another inlet at Fox Island
11:30am- went under the Sunset Beach Bridge at mile 337. There is a strong current which was pulling us at 8 knots at the bottom
Passing a golf course along the ICWCasino on the water
This is too funny.at mile 356, there are cables for an overhead gondola giving access to golf course across the ICW. Crazy!
2:30pm- Going under the Grand Dune Bridge at mile 357
4:30pm- As we were heading towards Socastee Bridge, you can't help notice all the homes which got flooded by the hurricane, lots of debris in the water also. You can see on the white houses the water line of when they got flooded.
Looks like they are building a bridge at mile 372
5:00pm- Arrived at Osprey Marina at mile 373
Osprey marina even gave us a cute care package.
Nice touch
At the marina, we met Brian and Jane Wilson (Mar-a-Lagos and Craig and Donna Lewis (Mighty Fine). We sat with them for a drink and shared stories. Once they received their delivered pizza, Steve and I went back to the boat to eat the Sheppard's pie which I made in transit earlier.
