My daughter Natalie called this morning on her way to work. I am always excited to hear how she is making out seeing that she is pregnant and due in February.
It might be cold outside but it doesn't matter to us this morning because we have heat in the boat. Dr. Jim has power on his dock.
What a beautiful morning. Sunny and peaceful looking out the boat. We plan on going into town and walk around St. Michaels. Lynne Taylor from Fifty Point Marina said it was a really quaint old town.
9:00am- Dr Jim had breakfast with us on the boat
10:00am- Dr Jim was kind enough to bring us on a tour around Oxford, Easton and St Michael.
There were many quaint shops in St Michael.
12:30pm- Had lunch with Dr Jim. He had to be back by 2:00pm.
Dr Jim wanted to charge up the batteries on his motor boat so Steve helped him out.
It is funny how Dr. Jim has an old gas pump on his property.
He was kind enough lend us his car since he had other plans. Steve and I went to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. It was very interesting.
On top of the lighthouse
Did a little shopping afterwards and went for a bite to eat around 6:30pm. On our way home, we saw 4 deer's cross in front of us..
We were back at the boat by 8:00pm. Funny how tired we were. It looks like a full moon tonight. Gorgeous evening.
Another gorgeous day! I managed to do my weight bearing exercises on Dr Jim's concrete floating dock. It felt so good to have the sun shining on my face.
Normally we would go to a marina's shower when I have to wash my hair but today I decided to take a shower on the boat after we had our breakfast. I have taken showers before on board but I have never washed my hair. I was always afraid to use up too much water. Seeing that Dr Jim has a hose going to the dock, I knew we could replenish the water.
It wasn't too bad. I was surprised that I didn't use as much water as I thought I would. Although, you can't keep the water going continually. Another benefit and luxury we have at home. It is a good thing though we do have a water maker which we will use in the Bahamas since they charge you for water every time you fill up. Also, we do have HOT water and have to be careful not to burn ourselves.
After the shower, you have to make sure to wipe everything up in the bathroom. Good thing I brought my Norvex clothes which I purchased from my neighbor who highly recommended them.
In the morning, when it is cool out and the heater is on, there can be condensation inside the boat where it is not insulated so we use those clothes also to wipe it off.
It is all good and we welcome the changes.

10:30am- Dr Jim took us to the Tilghman Island Day event which comprised of Anchor Throwing event, Workboat Races, Crab picking contest, Oyster Shucking Contest.
The one that we saw was the Boat docking Contest. That was so interesting.
They would time the boats leave a dock and then quickly backing it up and then place loops on the post. Some of us even got wet.
For lunch, Steve and I had fried oysters while Dr. Jim had a crab sandwich.
Dr. Jim bought us ice cream at the Oxford marina afterwards.
Dr Jim brought us to his daughter's place who lives right on the water.
6:45pm- Dr Jim joined us on the boat for dinner. The moon was out. He said he ordered it speciallyfor us. What a wonderful day!

It was wonderful watching the full moon rising last night and the sun rising this morning over the Eastern shore.
Bulls eye...I managed to hit the boat 70 yrds away.
Dr Jim lent us his boat. Steve and I had fun boating around the bay.
What another gorgeous hunter's moon tonight. Great way to end the day.

We were planning on leaving Dr Jim's today however due to high winds, we decided to wait and see what tomorrow brings. It rained in the morning but cleared up in the after. It will be very difficult to leave since we've been spoiled here. It was nice spending time with Dr Jim.
11:00am- While Steve helped Dr. Jim fix his dock, I went kayaking around the beautiful bay.
2:30pm- Steve and I practice shooting a pellet gun. Dr Jim has an old sailboat which he will get rid of and told me to use it as a target.
My target
Of course Steve being a previous competition skeet shooter , he would j

We did laundry, groceries and filled up with water in preparation for our departure tomorrow if the weather permits.
I baked my first zucchini bread on the boat. It was delicious.
