November 5, 2016-Isle of Hope Ga

November 5, 2016
5:30am- We were woken up by a long horn off a tug boat.  Thank you for your welcoming Savannah.
8:00am- Had a really nice breakfast at Huey's this morning. Big temperature drop this morning.

Time to leave the  River Street Market Place Marina.  Crazy expensive, noisy, no facilities and very rocky.  The only good thing is you are right on the boardwalk. Guess because it is a weekend, we are having a hard time finding places to stay in the area.  We didn't want to go as far as yesterday since it was a long day.  We may have to anchor.  Lots of sailors going South.  Guess we need to start calling ahead for a marina.

10:30- Going by Fort Jackson while leaving Savannah harbor.

It is nice to take off a few layers now that it is warming up.  We are going by lots of marinas.  Can't believe they were all booked.  Forgot it was the weekend.

1:00pm_ We stopped at Isle of Hope Marina hoping to stay here.  Isn't that ironic.
Looks like they are busy and we need to wait until 3:00pm to see if there is availability.
 We covered 19.2 miles today.

3:00pm- Guess there was no hope.  We had to go to an anchorage which was fine except for taking down the dinghy and the motor.  We pretty well have it down pat by now.  The good thing is the marina let us dock our dinghy and use the courtesy car in order to go do our groceries for $20.00.  We went to Walmart which was about 1.5 miles and picked up a few provisions.
I told Steve one thing I miss is going shopping by myself and just walk around.
6:00pm- We put the dinghy back up and tied everything down before dinner. It will be an early night. Tomorrow is another day!
