November 13, 2016- Melbourne to Fort Pierce

November 13, 2016
What a gorgeous sunrise this morning.  What a gift to see the sunset and then sunrise everyday.

7:30am- Left Melbourne at mile 914
8:25am- We went by this huge anchorage as a barge was passing us at mile 923.5.

9:00am- Looks like someone is having a campfire on the island.  I noticed a lot of campers on different islands that bring all their gear by boat.  What a great get a away.  Great fun way to spend your weekend in Florida if you like camping.

9:20am- In between Micco to Wabasso at ICW mile 933 to mile 943 we motored by Sebastian Marina

After we crossed the Wabasso Bridge at mile 943 all the way to Vero Beach at mile 952. we went by beautiful communities along with islands which are rookeries for a variety of bird species.

11:45am- Just before we reached Vero Beach at mile 952, we passed the boat "Cocoon" from Canada.  We met up with him several times during our journey.

From Vero Beach mile 952 to Fort Pierce 965, the ICW continues along the Indian River.

1:20pm-We crossed the North Fort Pierce Bascule Bridge
2:00pm- Arrived at Fort Pierce City Marina
How funny! When we were waiting for a slip assigned, this other boat was from Royal Hamilton Yatch Club. They have a US flag on their boat and that is why we assumed they were from the US but they purchased the boat and keep it in Titusville, Fla.  They have only been cruising for 4 days.

3:00pm- Went for groceries.  On the way, I just had to get a photo on the way.

Of course, the marina attendant told us it was 1.5 miles away and it ended up being 3 miles.  A girl at Publix told us to call Uber.  Dah!!!!! Why didn't we think of that before.  $7.00 later we were back at the boat with all our groceries and having a drink while waiting for the lasagna to heat up.
SUPERMOON is here.
Steve said the moon was so clear that he can see the US flag which Neil Armstrong put there.
Lasagna, wine and Neil Young singing Harvest Moon under the Supermoon...what more can you ask for. We put the music up and were dancing on the boat and I am sure other boater must of thought:
 "those crazy Canadians"
