Looks like we are staying put until after Christmas. We are now settled in our new home at
Riviera Beach City Marina in Riviera Beach Florida until after Christmas.

This place has all new facilities.
At 5:30 tonight, we will be surprising our grandchildren. Steve and I are renting a vehicle so we will have the freedom to visit.
Our new set of wheels for a month.
We cleaned our GaYa inside and out. She is back to normal. Steve can read his book while I work on some of my crafts until we see Lyla and Parker.
5:30pm- we surprised Lyla and Parker with our visit. Brent prepared us a wonderful meal. We were saying how funny for us to visit and then leave to go to our boat. Normally, we would stay at their place during our visit in Florida. At least we are here until Christmas. I always wanted to know what it would be like to live near my grand children. Great way to find out. Nicky and Brent are planning many date nights.

Lyla is going to be a great teacher someday.

Parker had homework to do in his Batman outfit.

Steve was so happy after buying his surf caster fishing rod today.
Went over Duane and Donna 's for a wonderful dinner. Their poor dog has to wear a cone in order to let an eye injury heal. It comes off on Monday.

Steve and I took the dinghy to Peanut Island in Riviera Beach right across from our marina.
Originally named Inlet Island, the island was renamed Peanut Island for a planned peanut oil-shipping operation which failed in 1946. A $13 million USD renovation on the island in 2005 resulted in Peanut Island Park including camp sites, a pier, and a manmade reef. The island also features a blast shelter built in secret for President John F. Kennedy shortly after his 1960 election. Kennedy often spent winters in nearby Palm Beach, Florida. The shelter is operated by the Palm Beach Maritime Museum and is open to visitors as an example of Cold War-era concerns for the president's safety
The water is so clear you can see the fish swimming under the bridge.
Steve woke up early and went beach fishing with Brent. He was back at 10;00. I did some sewing most of the day until we picked up Lyla and Parker at their school at 3;30pm. We took them for ice cream before going to Meghan and Ryan's home for dinner (really good friend's of Nicky and Brent).. They are always kind enough to include us when we visit Florida.
Went to see Parker play his soccer game this morning.
Nicky and the kids came to the boat aftrewards. Brent was in Naples selling his photography work all weekend. We took the kids to a water fountain at the marina. They had fun. We later all took turns and went for a ride in the dinghy around peanut island. There was a small market in the marina parking lot. Nicky brought us lunch as well as we got a few things from the market.
Nicky left for home after we ate pizza for dinner while Lyla and Parker stayed overnight on the boat. Parker thought it was so cool to be able to lay on the couch and watch cartoons in the boat. He made himself quite comfortable while Lyla and I played "Fish" before going to bed. They were sleeping by 8:30pm. They slept together in the same bed. So cute to see them cuddled up.

Took the kids to the park, then took them home and had lunch.
Before leaving them late afternoon, Steve helped Lyla learn how to ride a two wheeler. Steve got his exercise in.
Got back the boat before dinner and relaxed. There was music playing from the new restaurant which will open

Steve and I drove to Fort Lauderdale to Sailorman store. We weren't too impressed but we did get extra line for the boat and a used dry bag for our laundry. Steve Baldwin bought one in Annapolis and showed us how useful they can be.
I started working on sewing new bags with old sail material for our folding bikes while Steve did some reading. We later went to check out Riviera Beach before dinner.
It started off cool this morning but ended up hot by afternoon.
