March 6, 7 & 8, 2017 - Elbow Cay

March 6, 2017
Every morning at 8:15, we listen on VHF 68 the cruiser's net which gives local weather, announcements and information on what is happening in the Abaco's  it can be very entertaining to listen to them.
9:00am- We decided to go explore another part of Elbow Cay this morning.
There was an old rotted car in the path
We had to turn around when we came up to this fence.  Someone paid a lot of money to put up this fence in such a dense area.

On our way back, we noticed a couple of guys working and restoring these old wooden sailboat. Steve was very interested.

We then went for our daily walk on the beach in Hopetown.

Before we went back to the boat for lunch, we went to the local bike shop to pay for a couple more nights on the mooring.  We decided to stay here until Thursday since the winds are so gusty.  It is not a bad place to be stuck.
After dinner, we finished watching Season 4 of Homeland.

We sure did a lot of walking today and explored more beaches after a hardy breakfast. It is fun trying to find unique shells and beach glass and exploring different areas.  I just can't get over the view.  We must of walked 3 hours today so needless to say we came back to the boat and relaxed.  After dinner, we watched a Netflix movie "The Ridiculous 6" and it was ridiculous but funny.

We had to go under a house in order to get to the other side of the beach

We ended up at Tahiti Beach and I went shelling
while Steve tried fishing .  Not much luck, so
we went to the pool and relaxed since it was hot
at the boat.
