March 11 & 12, 2017 - Marsh Harbor

March 11, 2017
10:00am- After having a pancake breakfast in Marsh Harbor while anchored, we decided to go get provisions.  As we were just ready to head out, it started pouring.  We decided to wait until it stops raining.  So I got out my paint brush and Steve did some reading.

1:00pm- When the rain stopped and the sun came out, we went for our provisions.  We had to make two trips to the boat.  One for the liquor and the other groceries.  We had so many groceries, we had to take a taxi from Maxwell grocery store.  It only cost $8.00 and well worth it.

How ironic that we ran into Laurie and Al from Fifty Point.  Their boat name is Needful Thing. Then at the dinghy dock, we ran into Al and Bev from Cornwall, Ontario which we met in the beginning of our journey.  Their boat's name is Dagny.  They are all arriving in the Abacos.

5;30pm_ Met Laurie and Al at Mangoes Marina where they are keeping their boat.  We went out for a bite to eat.

We watched the sunset while eating

We then went to Curly Tails for a drink
Steve decided to join the band

8:30pm-  Came back to the boat and watched one episode of Sopranos.

5;00am-  Woke up during the early morning and looked out and noticed the beautiful full moon.  Couldn't resist taking a photo anchored at Marsh Harbor.  Went back to bed

Woke up at 8:30am but due to time change I realized it would have been 7:30am.
After breakfast, we decided to go explore another area of Marsh Harbor.  On our way, we stopped to talk to Al and Bev from Dagny.  We got some good tips on places to go visit in the South.

We tied our dinghy up at Marsh Harbour Marina and walked along the ocean.  Not much beach since there are a lot of private houses with no trespassing signs.  It is one of the first times we've seen no trespassing signs.  Usually I found in the Bahamas, you can pretty well go anywhere and no one cares.  It is a really nice feeling that no one is territorial like other places we've been.  Also, we noticed no police presence however you feel very safe. We saw a turtle shell washed up the beach.

12:30pm- Had lunch and laid around the boat for awhile
3:00pm-  We decided to leave Marsh Harbor and anchor at Archer's Cay which is 7 miles from Treasure Cay.
What an evening.  After a quick rainfall, we saw the most beautiful rainbow. After Steve finished cleaning under the boat, we went out on our dinghy.   We saw dolphins swimming around us while we watched the most beautiful sunset.  We then watch the full moon rise.  What a treasure!

Tomorrow we head over Treasure Cay.  We are so excited to see my sister and brother in law tomorrow.
