March 13-16, 2017 _Treasure Cay_Sister Reunion

March 13, 2017
7:00am- While Steve was sleeping, I went out on the dinghy and took photos of Gaya while the sun rose and also photos of the moon.  So breathtaking when everything is so quiet.

9:00am- After breakfast we headed out to Treasure Cay.
10:30pm- Dropped off our laundry at the Treasure  Cay Laundromat.  Steve and I then went for a walk on the beach

2:00pm-Yay...my sister Diane and my brother in law Tom arrived from Niagara and will be us for two weeks.  They rented a very nice condo which overlooks the marina for a week and then will be sailing with us the remainder of the time.
It is so nice to see them.

Nice to be reunited with my sister

The marina gave free hors d'oeuvres and drinks

Showed Diane and Tom the gorgeous beach

Went back to Diane and Tom's condo and watched TV.  Poor Tom and Diane were tired since they got up at 2:30am to fly here.  We went back to the boat at 9:30pm.

What a great day!
9:30am- After a light breakfast we met Diane and Tom at their condo and went for a long walk on the beach.

Diane then made us eggs and then we all got our swimwear and went swimming in the ocean.  The water was beautiful.

Diane walking backwards into the water with her new flippers

The men knew how to relax

Tom made his famous chicken wings

Steve later barbecued porc chops

While we were eating wings, we noticed a fishing boat pulled in and gave a huge Mahi Mahi to a local.  As he was walking by the balcony with the fish, Tom asked if he would sell us some fillets.  They met at the end of the dock and he gave us enough fish for tomorrow nights barbecue for only $20.00.

What a gorgeous view from their balcony looking out at the marina and seeing humming birds flying around the flowers at the deck.

Diane and I could believe the sunset from the balcony

I made homemade cupcakes on the boat and we celebrated Diane's 60th birthday

We a lovely evening.  The men had some drinks and were very happy.
10:00pm- I was the designated driver so I drove the dinghy back to the boat.

The moon was once more bright and reflecting off the water.

After breakfast, picked up Diane and Tom with the dinghy and motored around the marina.

Treated Diane to an afternoon drink

Tom cooked up the Mahi Mahi and we had a great dinner
Back at the boat at 9:30pm
Only 62 degrees in the boat tonight.  Lit up a candle while watching one episode of Soprano

A cold spell is going thru however it is sunny.  Glad I am not back home in Canada where they had snow.
Cleaned up the boat in preparation for Diane and Tom to come sailing with us starting tomorrow.  Afterwards, while Diane and I went to walk the beach, Steve and Tom stayed behind on the balcony. Diane and I then did some grocery shopping and brought everything at the boat.  I did a couple of loads of wash at Diane 's rented condo.
We went out for dinner at a bar grill at the beach.  It got cold as the evening went on due to the winds coming of the water.  After dinner, we went to the Marina where there was a band playing.  We did a lot of dancing.
Tomorrow we are headed out to Guana Cay where Barefootman will be playing.  Apparently, he is equivalent in the Bahamas to Jimmy Buffet.
