6:30am- On our way to Half Moon Bay
A little fog but not bad.
7:15am- This is when an AIS (Automatic Identification System) is helpful. We were motoring in the middle of the Hudson. A push boat and barge where able to see us on their radar and asked us which side we were approaching him. Of course, we are at their mercy...I wanted to say: "Which side do you want us?" The boat was the Ruth H Reinauer. Steve politely said: "Thanks Captain for the heads up"
11:45am- We arrived at Half Moon Bay marina at Croton On Hudson. Our plan is to now stay here for a couple of nights and take the train to NYC tomorrow. It is about 45 min away. We have to take it one day at a time since the weather always predict.
The sun is coming out and it is warming up. Actually it is hot. Walked a couple of miles into town and bought a few groceries and wine. Not much to see.
Came back and had a drink with Margi and Chuck before heading to bed. We are parting our ways tomorrow but I am sure we will see them again in Chesapeake.
